My Natural Hair

"dont remove the kinks from your hair, remove them from your brain."
--Marcus Garvey

So something that is of an essence to me nowadays is my hair. I've got good reason as to why and I will share. I got a relaxer at an age where I was too young to remember. Sadly, I was relaxed until a year ago, so addicted that I tried to get off the creamy crack two times and I just couldn't deal with kinky hair. Well when I finally made up my mind that I would there was no turning back. I got my last relaxer on October 22, 2010 and mini trimmed until I finally cut the rest of it off August 28, 2011. I have to say that I made a really good decision for myself. I have naturally fine hair so my hair was severely over-processed and I experienced a lot of breakage with relaxers. My hair is so strong and healthy these days and I know it is only a result of no relaxers.

My Regimen:
So I have about one year worth of naturally curly hair. I am not one for doing a lot of styles because I like wash n go's! But usually in a week, I will co-wash 2-3 times, depending on how my hair feels. I co-wash with TreSemme Naturals Nourish conditioner and Herbal Essence Hello Hydration. I started using it right after my big chop and I love it! It is definitely my staple conditioner. For my leave in, I've started using Argan Oil Leave In Conditioner. For my moisturizer, which smells so delicious, Beautiful Textures Curl Pudding. I seal with Grapeseed Oil.

Now, I am not trying to "convert" any one however, I am offering feedback to those out there who are on the fence. This is my lifestyle and what works for me. I will share products that work for me and share resources that I have. If anyone wants to share a story about their hair relaxed or natural, feel free! I would love to hear about hair care maintenance!
